Humanitarian Efforts
After the 2010 earthquake that struck Haiti and killed over 250,000 people, our founder Kenneth Tribit teamed up with Dr. Sugar for medical mission work.
Every year since, a team of orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and therapists work with Hospital Sacre Coeur in Millot, Haiti.
On these week-long trips, the team performs between 50-60 desperately needed surgeries.
Food, medical supplies, and monies are also donated to the local Catholic church nuns who take care of those most in need (including a children’s nutrition program).
Last year the team donated $6,000 to Sister Ann who was able to build a home for a widower blind man raising his children.
After seeing how impoverished the people of Milot are, Dr. Sugar created a charity called MASH, Medical Assistance Serving Humanity. If you would like to donate to help the people of Milot, please click below.
